eCommerce Manager

boxxe (recently rebranded from SBL/Software Box Limited) are a well-established IT solutions business who have been servicing the UK Public Sector for over 30 years with market leading technology and services. Utilising our existing experience we are now actively entering into into the corporate sector and have recently commenced an initiative to create and launch an eCommerce platform which will accelerate our ambition to become a digital leader within our industry. To achieve our vision, we’re looking for an experienced and forward-thinking B2B eCommerce Manager to join our fast-paced technology company. boxxe is focused on enabling organisations to be the best they can be through the use of technology, and the website will further help to achieve this mission through friction-free, content rich digital commerce, encompassing IT hardware, software and services.

You’ll be joining at period of high performance and growth, and significant investment into digital, making this an amazing opportunity for someone to own the execution of the boxxe eCommerce strategy.

We’re currently in the Discovery and Design phases of the initial eCommerce strategy and MVP platform design, based on Magento2 technology, and feel that now is the right time to bring in the person who will oversee and drive forward the implementation phase and the ongoing growth and development of the strategy and platform.


Key responsibilities

Full accountability for driving ecommerce sales and development of the ongoing trading and promotional strategy. You will be responsible for the merchandising of products and optimising customer journey to improve conversion rates and online KPI’s  

What you’ll be doing

  • Accountable for managing the day to day trading and execution of website strategy
  • Management and reporting of daily/weekly/monthly/annual trade, providing detailed analysis of key business drivers and producing actions plans to ensure sales and contribution targets are met
  • Utilise available resources, analysing sales patterns to maintain commercial awareness, understanding of key competitors and customer behaviour
  • Collaborate with key stake holders to plan ecommerce trading strategy, lead the delivery and reporting of all on-site promotions and content activity
  • Define and manage trading strategy, contributing to development/UX roadmaps
  • Accountable for optimisation of site navigation, customer journey and product placement to maintain growth and drive online sales
  • Work with digital marketing team to ensure product & trading strategies are supported by the digital marketing strategy for all channels
  • Collaborate with key stake holders to coordinate development and execution of evergreen and promotional content requirements to drive SEO, customer engagement and conversion
  • Accountable for process of collating and improving product data and imagery, supporting teams to resolve any issues as quickly as possible to optimise online sales
  • Building the ecommerce team as demand grows, putting required processes in place to increase efficiency and productivity

What you’ll bring

  • At least 3 years’ experience in a similar role delivering B2B eCommerce operations and strategy, preferably within the technology industry.
  • Experience in driving sales growth in B2B online digital commerce
  • Experience managing the Magento eCommerce platform and complimentary integrations
  • Excellent analytical skills and confidence with business systems
  • Experience of digital marketing and revenue generation within eCommerce environment
  • Strong leadership and people management experience
