
Steve Firth
CISO – Service DeskSteve joined the Army in 1978 and served in the Royal Corps of Signals as a Yeoman of Signals.
On leaving the Army, he joined the company as the Security Manager and Information Security Consultant. After a few years, he became the Professional Service Manager, Crypto Custodian and our Lead Information Security Consultant. During this time, he designed and built a number of in-house services for delivery to our customers and also designed and installed systems on customer sites. He became qualified under Microsoft and Apple schemes and also became CISSP and CISM qualified as well as taking courses in a number of ISOs and GDPR. Steve also developed and delivered many training courses including the Certified Wireless Network Administrator, an Introduction to Information Security and product courses such as Viasat Eclypt. Steve spent a number of years as a CLAS Consultant (CESG Listed Advisor Scheme) and as an instructor for the CESG Crypto Custodian course.
Steve then moved away from the consultant side of life to concentrate on our internal security. As our CISO (Chief Information Security Officer) he is responsible for the day to day management of all our security requirements and the completion of our certifications such as ISO27001 and Cyber Essentials Plus.
Away from work, Steve is married to Karen and enjoys watching Leeds Rhinos. He is the match secretary for a local Angling Club. Steve also enjoys Photography and walking Freddie the Schnauzer.
